Debentures are available for Centre and No.1 Courts and cover periods of five years.
For each Centre Court debenture held, debenture holders receive a ticket for a seat on Centre Court for each day of The Championships for the relevant period. Debenture holders also receive access to the Centre Court debenture holders' restaurants and bars, located within the Centre Court complex, with access to the debenture holders' car park on payment of an additional fee. The current Centre Court debenture series covers the 2016-2020 Championships.
For each No.1 Court debenture held, debenture holders receive a ticket for a seat on No.1 Court for each of the first ten days of the Championships for the relevant period. Debenture holders also receive access to the No.1 Court debenture holders' restaurants and bar, located within the No.1 Court complex, with access to the debenture holders' car park on payment of an additional fee. The new No.1 Court debenture series covers the 2017-2021 Championships.
Debenture tickets are the only tickets which are freely transferable. A policy which is strongly enforced against unapproved transfers of other types of tickets.
The law requires that sellers (where they have the details available to them) list full details, including seat numbers, of any tickets which they advertise on secondary ticketing websites. Ticket details are not known until the ticket packages are despatched toward the end of May. Any debenture ticket details listed on any site prior to despatch of the tickets by AELTC should not be relied upon to be correct.
Whilst these provisions do not restrict the ability to sell debenture tickets on secondary ticketing websites prior to receiving them from AELTC, sellers are required to list full ticket details after the tickets have been received.
Each ticket entitles one person entry to the Grounds and a ticket cannot be passed to another person outside the Grounds on departure.
All tickets (including Debenture tickets) and/or hospitality packages which include such tickets should not be used as a prize in any marketing or competition without the written approval of AELTC. Apart from any breach of ticket conditions, AELTC take the view that such competitions seek to associate a brand or company with The Championships and this will not be permitted for companies or brands that are not official suppliers.
The 2016-2020 Centre Court debentures were priced at £50,000 (including nominal and VAT) on issue.
The 2017-2021 No.1 Court debentures were priced at £31,000 (including nominal and VAT) on issue.
The debentures are freely transferable (subject to applicable law) via a private arrangement or through your stockbroker.
Alternatively, Dowgate Capital Stockbrokers Limited operate a weekly auction of any debentures which are placed with Dowgate for sale. Subject to debentures being available for sale, the auction opens at noon on Wednesday and closes at noon on Thursday.
If you are interested in acquiring existing debentures in this way, you may wish to contact Dowgate.
Details of the prices at which debentures have transferred most recently are advertised by the Company in the Financial Times on the first Saturday of each calendar month. Sales are not included in the formal transfer list until complete transfer documentation has been received by the Debenture Office.
Debenture holders are recommended to seek independent advice in relation to any proposal involving the sale of their debentures. Neither The All England Lawn Tennis Ground plc, nor any of its affiliates, nor any of their respective directors, employees or agents shall have any liability to any person for any loss or alleged loss arising out of or in connection with the price, the timing, or the manner of any such sale or otherwise in connection therewith.
